Form an Association
In 2022, a group of neighbors came together to reignite the Douglas Neighborhood Association. The purpose of this group is to help advocate on behalf of neighbors and support the planning and implementation of the neighborhood plan.

Engage Douglas
The Douglas Neighborhood Association kicked off the neighborhood planning effort in October 2023 with a fall community event at Ada Dilts Peace Park. The goal is to engage with residents, businesses, and other partners like the City of Kalamazoo to identify neighborhood goals and projects.

Take the Survey!
Our Neighborhood Survey is live! Please take a moment to share your ideas and other feedback. This input will help us shape our goals and lead to the creation of projects that aim to address concerns and enhance what we love about our neighborhood. Link here or fill out below.

Plan Review
Once we've engaged the neighborhood over several months, the Association will work with City staff to draft the neighborhood plan. As soon as this is ready, it will be shared with the entire neighborhood and key community partners to review and provide another round of feedback over a 30-day public comment period before it makes it way to the City's Planning Commission.
